Alistair, as director, oversees the Fleet Management & Aircraft Transitions focus area in the IMEAI Region. He has 25+ years’ experience in the airline, leasing and MRO industries.
His most recent role was with Delta Air Lines and Delta TechOps as an EMEAI Executive. Prior to Delta, he was EVP of Fleet, Technical Procurement, and Logistics at Alitalia, Head of Global engine leasing at MTU and Head of Technical / SVP / VP at world leading leasing companies such as ILFC/AerCap, CastleLake and CALC.
Relevant Experience
-At Delta TechOps, he was responsible for all the MRO activities in the EMEAI region and the relationship with Leasing Companies for Delta Air Lines.
- At Alitalia, he restructured all the Lease and MRO Agreements and supported the sale of the airline while managing the airline’s technical spending.
- At MTU Leasing, he headed the global engine leasing unit and team including the supervision of all commercial and technical activities all over the world. He managed a portfolio of 150+ engines.
- At CALC (biggest leasing company in China) and ARI, he managed the development of the first and biggest Chinese Disassemble Center in Harbin (China), aircraft transitions and also managed various acquisitions (e.g., 50 Boeing 737 MAX and UAM).
- At ILFC / AerCap (world’s largest leasing company), he negotiated, delivered, returned, managed, inspected, oversaw, and repossessed aircraft all over the world. He was part of the EMEA Repossession Team and part of the Embraer Maintenance Review Board (MRB) for the E-Jets II.
- At Lauda Air and Livingston Airlines he covered the position of CAMO PostHolder (EASA Form 4 holder)
