As technical divisions head, Yasin Birinci is in charge of defining Turkish Technic’s broader strategic plan and developing therein arising business opportunities. He leads the departments responsible for implementing company’s engineering, planning, R and D initiatives and component services operations.
Born in 1981, Yasin Birinci graduated from Industrial Engineering Department of Bogazici University in 2003 and completed MBA Program at Bilgi University in 2006. His career started in Mercedes-Benz-Turkey, a subsidiary of Daimler AG, where he established personnel requirement planning and overhead budgets and preparing plan/actual deviation analyses and submitting decision supportive proposals to the Board of Management.
In 2007 he was appointed to the HQ Daimler-Buses in Germany, for leading a team responsible for capacity utilization of production network and efficiency planning for Daimler-Buses consisting of six European-wide production facilities.
Having joined Turkish Technic in September 2013 as SVP for Production Planning and Control Department, he was mainly responsible for coordinating all work being done in hangars and shops by assuring the availability of required resources. He played a crucial role in major projects like merger of Turkish Technic and Turkish Habom and expanding the hangar and maintenance capacity of Turkish Technic in several airports, which now equals to a maintenance network of over 56 A/C hangar bays in four Airports.
During 2020, he was appointed as the interim SVP of Sales and Marketing Department.
Before being appointed as the Chief Technical Officer in July 2021, he was the head of Component Services Department, which mainly covers the planning of aircraft component inventory, managing contracted component repair and maintenance activities and executing the component exchange operations for Turkish Airlines and other third-party operators.
