Taarek Hinedi is the Vice President of Middle East and Africa Operations for FedEx Express Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa (MEISA).
Taarek is responsible for the air and ground operations in the 15 Middle East and Africa direct-served countries, where he led the efforts of recent direct-serve transitions in six of them. He is also responsible for as well as operations in 556 countries across the MEISA region that are served by service providers.
Taarek was appointed Vice President for Operations in 2016 after spending approximately 12 years as Managing Director in India, where he played an integral role in expanding both FedEx Express international and domestic operations.
In 2015, in addition to his India responsibilities, Taarek also served as the MEISA Regional Lead for the TNT Acquisition Planning, where he successfully led teams from both FedEx Express and TNT to deliver on an overall MEISA execution plan, and an integration roadmap.
Taarek is a two-time recipient of the company’s highest accolade, the FedEx Five Star Award. This prestigious award is presented to FedEx team members for their outstanding performances and achievements.
Taarek is instrumental in representing the logistics and express industry in India. He was the Vice Chairman of the Express Industry Council of India (EICI) since September 2007, prior to which he was an active board member of the council.
Taarek holds an MBA from George Washington University, Washington DC, USA.
