Joost Groenenboom, is a Senior Director at ICF’s Aviation MRO practice in London and has over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry. He offers expertise in both aircraft maintenance and asset management. He supports clients with the optimisation and improvement of complex maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) processes, having managed and supported a wide variety of projects ranging from maintenance organisation assessments, business planning, heavy maintenance checks, major modification and certification programs and cargo conversions. He specializes in aircraft maintenance, maintenance cost, lease and asset management.
Prior to joining ICF, Joost was the Technical Director and Nominated Postholder for Continuing Airworthiness for a Belgium Cargo Airline. In this role he was responsible for all maintenance and continuing airworthiness activities within the airline. Before this he was an Executive Direct for SGI Aviation, an Amsterdam based consulting firm specializing in lease and asset management. In this role he was responsible for all major technical aviation programs within SGI and advised customers on the various technical aspects of aircraft leases, deliveries and redeliveries. He was also responsible for the Guernsey based aircraft register, which was managed in a public-private partnership between the government of Guernsey and SGI.
Joost started his career in KLM’s engine overhaul shop, before moving to Martinair, where he held various roles in maintenance planning, project management and fleet management.
