David Doherty leads the Sales function within Etihad Engineering, developing the corporate strategy and implementing the global positioning of company within the MRO sector, focusing on strengthening the customer portfolio and looking at new partnership opportunities.
With more than 20 years of aviation experience within MRO management, airline operations and business jet support, David has a passion for delivering market leading customer service and adding value to collaborative support partnerships.
David’s experience in contract negotiation and management, as well as project and programme delivery, has been gained in the private aviation, commercial and defence sectors. His background in airline operations as well as engineering sales, gives him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by aircraft operators, shaping the company’s focus on meeting customer objectives and building enduring relationships.
David joined Etihad from Monarch where he held the position of Head of Commercial, leading the Business Development, Commercial and Customer Support functions for Monarch Aircraft Engineering,
He previously held positions at Marshall ADG as Head of Business Development and ATC Lasham as Group Commercial Manager. Prior to this, he has also held operational airline roles with KLM UK.
